About LearnPosters
LearnPosters publishes 3500 free printable learning posters as vector PDFs. It is a small independent project, not a marketplace: every sheet is drawn from a single typeset engine, checked by automated gates before it ships, and given away under a licence that permits classroom, homeschool and library use.
600 of them are filed by school year and 2900 by subject, across 29 sections.
A poster is a wall chart, not a worksheet
A worksheet is answered once and thrown away. A poster stays up, and the child who glances at it mid-problem stops needing to ask. That distinction decides everything else here: big type, one idea per sheet, and nothing on a page that cannot be read from across a room.
The five rules every sheet has to survive
- One idea, stated once. A poster that covers three things covers none of them at a distance.
- Vector art only — no emoji, ever. Colour emoji rasterise from an operating-system bitmap font that does not exist on a print server, so a sheet that relies on them prints as empty boxes. Every pictorial element here is drawn.
- Nothing outside the content band. The footer is opaque, so content that overflows disappears rather than collides. An automated gate renders every poster and fails the build if any of them overrun.
- Colour carries emphasis, never meaning. Every poster has to survive greyscale — a draft-mode print on a school photocopier loses the colour and none of the content.
- Text is measured, never estimated. Every width comes from the real advance widths of the shipped fonts. Guessing at character counts is what makes a chart fit in English and overflow in German.
Why the files are vector
Each poster is drawn as vector geometry and exported as a vector PDF — roughly 40 KB, with selectable, searchable text. A rasterised chart is eight times the size, cannot be searched, and turns to mush above Letter. Vector is what lets the same free file print sharp on a home printer and at A1 from a copy shop.
What this is not
These are educational reference charts. The anatomy and first-aid sheets in Body & health are not medical advice and are no substitute for training or a clinician; the money sheets are not financial advice. Where a chart summarises a field, it summarises — it does not replace the course.
How a chart is checked before it ships
Nothing here is published by hand. Every poster is a row of structured content rendered by one shared engine, and a chart only reaches the site by passing the whole gate — which runs on every change, not on a schedule:
- Overflow. Every poster in the catalogue is rendered and measured. A sheet whose content leaves the printable band fails the build rather than silently losing a row behind the footer.
- Type metrics. Every text width is read from the real advance widths of the shipped fonts. The build also fails if any character the catalogue prints cannot be drawn by any shipped face — which is how two missing maths glyphs, and , were found.
- Duplicates and taxonomy. Two sheets cannot share a slug, and a poster cannot claim a subject or a topic that does not exist.
- Metadata. Titles, descriptions, answers and the question sets on every page are checked for length, uniqueness and reachability across all 3500 posters before a deploy is allowed.
What these charts are, as sources
A wall chart is a secondary source. It compresses a field into one sheet, and compression loses things — nuance, exceptions, the cases where the rule does not hold. These posters are checked against the standards bodies and reference works that own each subject, and each section page links the ones behind it. Where a chart and a syllabus disagree, the syllabus wins.
Corrections are treated as build failures rather than tickets: a fix goes into the catalogue row, and every sheet, PDF and page derived from it is regenerated on the next deploy. There is no stale copy to catch up.

- PDF 2.0 (ISO 32000-2) — International Organization for Standardization. The format every poster is exported to, with real embedded text rather than an image.

- Two ways, and neither is a person signing off a proof. The mechanical properties — nothing overflowing the printable band, no unprintable character, no duplicate slug, every width measured from the real font rather than estimated — are enforced by gates that fail the build. The subject matter is checked against the standards bodies and reference works listed on each section page.
- How often are the posters updated?
- Every page, PDF and social card on this site is regenerated from the catalogue on each deploy, so there is no stale copy anywhere to catch up. A correction goes into the catalogue row it belongs to and propagates to every sheet derived from it at the next build, rather than being patched on one page and forgotten on the other four.
- Are these charts a substitute for a textbook, a course or a clinician?

For machines
A sitemap tells a crawler where 3500 pages are; it does not tell it what any of them is. Two plain-text indexes do: /llms.txt is the map — every section, every school year, the counts and the licence, in Markdown — and /llms-full.txt is the complete index, one line per poster with its page URL, its PDF URL and what is printed on it. Both are regenerated with the catalogue, so neither can go stale.
Catalogue last regenerated . Every page on this site is rebuilt from the catalogue on each deploy, so this date applies to all 3500 of them.
